I’m always fascinated about how there are certain catalogues that I get sent to my house that I actually read. One of them is the Patagonia catalogue. I took notice that I’m actually looking at the catalogue more like it’s a magazine. I’m interested in the photos and where they are taken, plus the quick stories about environmental stewardship.
I’m thinking there has to be an incredible opportunity to take this model online and customize magalogues to a person’s personal preference and liking. I’m wondering if I would read the Patagonia catalogue if was presented to me as a mini-site online magalogue.

Rich mentioned a blog that approached this concept in a post on MarketingBlurb. The writer posts a photo of the celebrity wearing some piece of jewelry and then makes comments about the celebrity (life, rumors, latest movie) and then describes the jewelry and offers to sell it. Kind of a mix of the Home Shopping Network and Entertainment Tonight.
