The Fast Track

What's the fastest that a new company can make a profit?

I've been curious lately about this. You hear often about how launches get delayed, funding is delayed, product development takes longer than anticipated... so I'm wondering, what are the quickest examples of startups creating a sustainable, significant cash flow?

One of the best recent examples of startup success is undeniably YouTube, having been acquired by Google for $1.65 billion, a little over a year and a half after being started in a garage.

If you have any anecdotes, stories, or clear examples of startups making it faster than usual, leave a note!
